The Lights on Broadway
Holiday decorations are always a heart-warming sight. Saratoga Springs is such a beautiful city, especially at Christmastime. Broadway in Saratoga is like a city described in a Christmas carol with its twinkling lights all aglow. There are many holiday festivities in Saratoga that introduce the holiday spirit. There is the Festival of Trees, the Victorian Streetwalk, Santa’s house on Broadway, and First Night. We recently caught sight of the Saratoga city crew decorating Broadway with wreaths and bows. Like magical elves, they merrily adorned each lantern with festive holiday décor. We happened a chance to speak with these merry makers one cold November morn. Each one was jolly and decorated with glee. They decorate each year near Thanksgiving, when it gets cold, remarked the city electrician. The decorated lanterns lining Broadway provide a glowing backdrop to the lit storefronts and decked homes. A stroll up and down Broadway is sure to put one in the holiday mood.
We hope you enjoy the holiday season and may you make merry!
